A man was carjacked and robbed at gunpoint in Santa Clarita Friday by two suspects who remain outstanding.
On Friday, deputies responded to a reported carjacking near the intersection of Evans Avenue and DeWolfe Road in Newhall, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
When deputies arrived on scene, they learned the victim had been driving toward the intersection when he saw a man in the middle of the road pointing a handgun.
“The victim stopped his vehicle and was approached by two males in which he was ordered to exit the vehicle,” Arriaga said. “As the victim exited the vehicle, one of the suspects took money out of the victim’s pockets. The suspects left in the vehicle and out of view.”
The victim was not injured in the incident, Arriaga said.
The suspects are still at large and the vehicle has not been located, according to Arriaga.
An investigation by law enforcement officials is ongoing, Arriaga said.
