Man Destroys Musician’s Drum Set With Axe, Threatens Him With Gun In Canyon Country

Deputies are investigating after a man allegedly destroyed a musician’s drum set with an axe, and threatened him with a gun over the weekend in Santa Clarita.

On Saturday, deputies responded to Whites Canyon and Wildwind Roads in Canyon Country regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call involving an axe, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“During investigation, deputies learned while the victim was playing his portable drum set, an unknown suspect approached him carrying an axe and broke the victim’s drum set,” Arriaga said.

The man then brandished a firearm towards the victim while yelling at the musician.

“The suspect then entered his vehicle and drove southbound on Whites Canyon Road and out of view,” Arriaga said.

The suspect is described as a bald man and remains at-large as of Monday, Arriaga said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at 661-260-4000.

    Problem solved itself.

  2. What else did the bald male look like, wearing & driving?!

  3. Chief Wiggum: This is Papa Bear. Put out an APB for a male suspect, driving a… car of some sort, heading in the direction of, uh, you know, that place that sells chili. Suspect is hatless. Repeat, hatless.

  4. Portable drum set?? Did he attack a member of the marching band?

  5. Wish I could contribute to this guy a new drum set. People are dysfunctional and detached to come at someone with an ax. This man needs psychological help and meds to cut up someone’s drums. He needs to be arrested

Funny stuff. No not a professional drummer boy. Self taught and unemployed. Bet there was not much in the tip jar.
When I was in college they had sound proof rooms for musicians to practice. Noise pollution and irritating neighbors will get you confronted.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
