A Newhall man was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly sexually assaulted a young girl and her adult mother.

On Saturday, detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Victims Bureau arrested Quirino Romano, 68, from Newhall, for sexual battery allegations against a minor and an adult woman, said Sgt. Joseph Mesa, with the Special Victims Bureau.

“The juvenile victim and her 26-year-old mother live with the suspect at the 24800 block of Fourl Road, Newhall,” Mesa said. “The juvenile alleged molestation and the mother alleged misdemeanor sexual battery.”

The suspect was arrested, and the case was submitted to the DA’s Office.

No additional information was released to the media.
