“One of the Golden Valley basketball players went up into the stands and assaulted a West Ranch High School student,” said Lt. Derek Sabatini with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The victim “suffered lacerations to the left side of his face,” Sabatini said. “He was treated by paramedics at the scene and was released to his parents.”
The suspect left with his team to Golden Valley High School and was arrested for battery by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies.
The suspect and the victim’s identities and ages were not disclosed by Sabatini.
