The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station announced Thursday that more than 38 pounds of illegal narcotics were seized following an investigation into drug sales in the Santa Clarita Valley.
According to officials, Narcotics Bureau detectives, assisted by the department’s Crime Impact Team (CIT), served multiple search warrants at locations across the San Fernando Valley on Wednesday morning.
Two suspects, a 34-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man, both from San Fernando, were taken into custody and arrested on multiple felony narcotics charges. Both were transported to and booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail.
During the operation, deputies seized more than 27 pounds of methamphetamine, 8 pounds of fentanyl, and 3 pounds of heroin. Investigators also recovered scales and packaging materials commonly used in the distribution of narcotics.
“We’ll continue doing everything we can to reduce the impact of illegal narcotics in our community,” stated a Facebook post by the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
