Rape Suspect Arrested After Having Sex With Woman ‘Too Intoxicated To Consent’

A Santa Clarita man was arrested on allegations of rape Monday after law enforcement received reports he had sex with a woman too intoxicated to give consent.

Back in November 2021, detectives began investigating a possible rape that occurred in Santa Clarita, said Sgt. Joseph Mesa, with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Special Victims Bureau.

“The victim and suspect met at a bar/club,” Mesa said. “Both parties eventually had sexual intercourse in the parking lot.”

Due to the victim’s intoxication, she does not recall having sex and believes she was too intoxicated to give consent, Mesa said.

“During the detective’s investigation, he formed the opinion that the victim was too drunk to give consent,” Mesa said.

On Monday, Josue Ochoa Dominguez, 36, from Canyon Country, was arrested on one count of rape with the use of drugs or intoxicants, Mesa said.

The case will be presented to the DA’s office for filing.

The suspect was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station with bail set at $100,000, according to arrest records.

  1. Ummmm she clearly said she can’t remember if she had sex or not
Pretty much the burdon of proof is on her. She doesn’t even know if she did or didn’t Makes no sense. Guy on parole in a stolen car with a pound of meth and a stolen handgun gets released in citation to appear and guy get 100k bail for an allegation that can’t be proven

  2. Jason. This the new California. She should have not remembered the foreign objects being used also.

  3. Was the man intoxicated? If so, then he could not give consent and she should also be arrested for rape. Or is that not how equality works?

  4. I am glad that we don’t have any problems with guys or girls getting drugged and raped out here in SCV. This awesome town!

  5. Obviously the detectives did their job and had all the evidence to arrest this disgusting guilty predator . Thanks to the detectives for taking this rapist off our streets of SCV.

  6. Be Mindful of duplicate posting.

  7. What bar did Josue Dominguez go to, so decent people won’t go near there!? When they go to the car & drunkin hornyniss happens, why not stop & get out! Just more low class lifestyles with consequences!!

  8. hold on there Mindful, see that’s how lives get ruined, I think the Key word here, is SUSPECT arrested…We hava system in place innocent until PROVEN guilty, let the process begin a end before the name calling

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
