This past weekend, local law enforcement agencies reported a total of 11 arrests, marking a significant decline of more than 50 percent from last week’s 26 arrests.
The primary reason for the arrests was domestic violence, with three individuals taken into custody on related charges.
Following domestic incidents, two drivers were arrested for driving under the influence.
Other offenses included possession of drug paraphernalia, trespassing, assault on a custodial officer, driving an unregistered vehicle, and failing to provide vehicle registration to an officer.
The final arrest was made by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Parks Bureau Patrol for reasons that remain undisclosed.
Nearly 45 percent of all arrestees are non-residents of the Santa Clarita Valley, hailing from Los Angeles, Sylmar, Rosamond, Frazier Park and Encinitas.
