A majority of weekend arrests made this week were for driving under the influence, robbery, reckless driving and more. 

Over the weekend deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff station and officers with California Highway Patrol (CHP) made 20 arrests, with deputies making 13 of them, according to the weekend arrest logs. 

Out of the 20 arrests 10 of them were misdemeanours with five of them being DUIs. 

The other five misdemeanors were two for battery and the other three were reckless driving, drunk in public and possession of a controlled substance. 

Some of the notable felony arrests made include three DUIs, false evidence of registration, evading a peace officer/driving the wrong way, robbery, corporal injury on a spouse, possession of items with intent to forge, illegal possession of teargas and disregard safety. 

Ten out of the 20 arrests made this weekend are residents of the Santa Clarita Valley.
