A Saugus man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly attempted to intentionally strike a person with his vehicle at the Valencia Town Center Mall.

On Tuesday, deputies responded to the Valencia Town Center Mall in the 24200 block of Valencia Boulevard regarding a reported assault with a deadly weapon call, said Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“(The suspect) allegedly attempted to intentionally strike an adult male victim with his vehicle,” Miller said.

No information was provided into what led up to the attempted assault.

The following day, deputies located and arrested Sean Corbett, 37, from Saugus, on a felony count of assault with a deadly weapon, Miller said.

He was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail. As of Thursday afternoon he remained in custody on $30,000 bail.
