Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested After Kissing, Touching Female Against Her Will

A Valencia man was arrested for kidnapping and sexual assault after he allegedly forcefully kissed a female while carrying her into a freezer against her will Monday.

Around 7:45 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to the 24200 block of Magic Mountain Parkway to a possible sexual assault call, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“While speaking with the victim in a break room, the suspect grabbed the victim and began to forcefully move her towards the back room freezer,” Arriaga said.  “The victim attempted to pull away. The suspect then picked her up and moved her into the freezer.  The suspect proceeded to kiss the victim against her will.”

The sexual assault victim managed to push the suspect off of her and walked away, in which the suspect then allegedly touched the victim inappropriately while she was walking away, according to Arriaga.

“The suspect was not present at the time a report was taken and remained outstanding,” Arriaga said.

On Tuesday, the suspect was located and arrested on the 24200 block of Valencia Boulevard by the Crime Impact Team, according to Arriaga.

Christopher Marroquin Pelaez, 25, from Valencia was arrested for Sexual assault and kidnapping, both felonies, Arriaga added.

Marroquin Pelaez was booked into the SCV Sheriff’s Station and later released on bond, according to Arriaga.

  1. Sounds like he needed to cool off to bad she didn’t lock him in the freezer by himself.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
