A sexual battery suspect was arrested after he allegedly grabbed a woman’s buttocks in Saugus Monday afternoon.
Around 4 p.m. Monday, deputies responded to a possible sexual battery call at 26615 Bouquet Canyon Road in Saugus, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“A male Hispanic adult reportedly grabbed a female’s buttocks and left the location on foot,” Arriaga said.
When deputies arrived, they detained a man matching the suspect description, according to Arriaga.
“During investigation, deputies learned the victim arrived at the business and found the suspect inside,” Arriaga said. “She told him to leave. As the suspect was walking towards the exit, he grabbed the victim’s buttocks.”
The person detained was positively identified as the suspect.
Victor Lopez, 32, a transient, was arrested for misdemeanor sexual battery, Arriaga added.
Lopez was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and remains in custody as of Tuesday, according to Arriaga.
