On Thursday evening around 10 p.m. deputies received reports of a yellow Corvette crashing into a fence on Avenida Rancho Tesoro, said Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“The owner of a yellow Corvette left the vehicle while idling,” Miller said.
While the Corvette was idling a suspect stole the vehicle and crashed the car into a fence, then the suspect fled, according to Miller.
As a result of the incident, sheriff’s officials are reminding Santa Clarita residents to not leave their vehicle unattended and unlocked while the car is running.
As of the publication of this article, sheriff’s officials could not confirm if the suspect has been taken into custody.
