Deputies are investigating after an unknown suspect stole a purse from a woman at Costco Monday evening.

Around 7 p.m. Monday, deputies responded to the Costco on the 18600 block of Via Princessa in Canyon Country, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“A male Hispanic adult stole the victim’s purse from within her parked vehicle and left in a black Mercedes towards Sierra Highway and out of view,” Arriaga said.

The suspect fled the Costco prior to deputy arrival and remains at large as of Tuesday afternoon, according to Arriaga.
