Tea Elle C Garden Cafe Damaged By Burglars

Two burglars broke into Santa Clarita’s Tea Elle C Garden Cafe early Tuesday morning, stealing money and causing damage to the store.

Two men broke into the beloved Santa Clarita business around 4:16 a.m. Tuesday, stealing cash from the register and damaging the store, according to owner Maria.

“They broke the door, the register, stole the money and vandalized the store,” read the Tuesday evening Facebook post.

The suspects also broke into two other stores in the business center, according to owners.

Serving breakfast and lunch entrees in addition to over 80 varieties of loose-leaf teas, Tea Elle C Garden Cafe has been one of the best-kept secrets of the Santa Clarita Valley, according to the restaurant website.

“Business owners of Santa Clarita, please be mindful, do not keep valuable items and cash in your stores. Apparently, it had been happening lately a lot in Santa Clarita,” owners stated.

Star owners informed KHTS that although there was damage, the restaurant remained open for business, and would continue to serve “delicious scones and tea” during regular business hours.
