Two 18-Year-Old Robbery Suspects Arrested After Targeting Bank Customer In Valencia

Two 18-year-old males were arrested Friday after allegedly robbing a victim who had just withdrawn several thousand dollars from a bank in Valencia.

The robbery was reported in the 29000 block of Valencia Boulevard, where the victim was targeted shortly after leaving the bank, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.  Deputies were quickly provided with a description of the suspects’ vehicle, allowing patrol units to begin searching the area.

As the suspects attempted to flee toward the freeway, a deputy spotted the vehicle and coordinated with additional sheriff’s units and the California Highway Patrol.

The suspects were detained near the Interstate 5 Freeway and Roxford Street.

Both suspects, one from Corona, CA and one from Nevada, were arrested on felony robbery charges.

“We don’t stop at city limits when it comes to catching crooks,” officials said in a statement. “Commit a crime in the Santa Clarita Valley and try to take off? Think again.”

Ed. Note: As of Sunday at 12:00 p.m., no additional information is available regarding this incident.
