A man in possession of a stolen and concealed weapon was arrested after deputies conducted a welfare check on him during the heat of the weekend.
Over the weekend, deputies were patrolling Soledad Street near Oak Avenue in Canyon Country when they spotted a man out in the heat of the day, said Deputy Robert Jensen, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“To the deputies’ surprise, as they walked up, the man told them he had a gun concealed in his waistband,” Jensen said in a Facebook post. “Deputies recovered two unregistered guns… both concealed, both loaded and one of them known to be stolen.”
Lee Edwards was arrested for weapons charges, according to officials.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail.
“Two more guns off the streets,” Jensen said.

Sounds like he wanted to get out of the heat and go to jail . Keep him there for 5yrs
But so many people are in favor of carrying concealed weapons…
Not stolen ones. This guy belongs in jail. Having a stolen gun means you are up to no good.
That would be legally with a ccw permit of course.
I prefer Open Carry but had to settle for my CCW. I know I know us law abiding citizens are such a pain to deal with our love for country and protecting ourselves
Love for country does not automatically include carrying a gun. OMG
