Two people were shot Tuesday night in two separate Fourth of July incidents, including a deputy-involved shooting.
Most of the booms echoing through the Santa Clarita Valley Tuesday night were illegal Fourth of July fireworks, but two confirmed shootings also sent two people to the hospital.

Medical personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) responded to the first reported shooting on the 27300 block of Fahren Court in Canyon Country at approximately 10:17 p.m. Tuesday.
“We responded to a (gunshot wound),” said Geovanni Sanchez, spokesperson for the LACoFD.
The victim was transported to the hospital.
11:42 p.m. — Arch Street
The second shooting occurred at approximately 11:42 p.m. on the 24200 block of Arch Street in Newhall, according to the LASD.
According to the station, Santa Clarita Station deputies observed a vehicle that matched the description of a vehicle that was possibly involved in the other shooting earlier that night in Canyon Country.
“As deputies contacted the occupants, the front passenger exited the vehicle and fled on foot. A foot pursuit ensued, during which time deputies determined the suspect was armed. During the pursuit, a deputy-involved shooting occurred,” read a statement from the LASD.
The male suspect was struck by gunfire and was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Critical condition, according to the LASD.
A firearm was recovered at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
No deputies were injured during the incident, LASD officials said.

Thankful no deputies were hurt. Were the dudes involved gang members ??
YES! Apparently gang members who think people around here don’t have cameras/ video of what happened. They shot a child! With multiple children/ families still outside.
