A Valencia stolen vehicle suspect was taken into custody Friday morning after a felony traffic stop, officials said.

Around 9:10 a.m. Friday, deputies located a possible stolen vehicle near Valencia Boulevard and McBean Parkway, said Sgt. Martinez, with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“It was a confirmed stolen vehicle,” Martinez said.

Deputies requested backup to their location before making a felony traffic stop, according to Sheriff’s officials.

By the time enough backup arrived on scene deputies conducted a felony traffic stop near the Facey Medical Group on McBean Parkway, according to officials on scene.

Deputies were able to get the suspect into custody without incident, according to Sheriff’s officials.

Multiple lanes of McBean Parkway were temporarily blocked as of 9:25 a.m. as deputies conducted their investigation.
