Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Special Assignment Team (SAT) deputies arrested five warrant suspects last week, including one for assault with a deadly weapon, officials said Thursday.
SAT team deputies continue to proactively patrol from Canyon Country to Castaic, said Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“This team is in addition to our patrol deputies,” Miller said.
Last week, while patrolling through Canyon Country shopping centers on Carl Boyer Drive, deputies made contact with a man in a parked vehicle who had three warrants out for his arrest, according to Miller.
While patrolling on Soledad Canyon Road, near Commuter Way in Saugus, a SAT deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was reportedly traveling at an unsafe speed, according to Sheriff’s officials.
“After making contact with the female adult driver, the deputy learned that she had an outstanding felony warrant for assault with a deadly weapon,” Miller said.
In a separate Castaic patrol check near Castaic and Lake Hughes Roads, a SAT deputy made contact with a female adult in a parked vehicle.
“The deputy found that the woman had an outstanding felony warrant for her arrest,” Miller said.
While the deputy was detaining the suspect, he was reportedly approached by another woman, the suspect’s sister, who the deputy found out also had a felony warrant issued for her arrest, Miller said.
“Santa Clarita Valley, we’ve got you covered,” Miller added.
All five suspects were arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail.

Many thanks to our local police department for cleaning out the swamp.
“SCV we have you covered”—-Not if you don’t provide the facts! What did they look like, where from, any weapons, etc. !! Was this 1 or 2 separate incidents or related!? Both sisters had warrants, what a family!
What purpose does it serve knowing what any of them look like? All 5 people mentioned were taken in on warrants. There’s nothing you need to be on the lookout for when they’re already in custody…
Also, the location of each incident (3 stops in total) is noted. Which should answer your, “was this 1 or 2 separate incidents or related” question.
The purpose is to point at certain ethnics groups and proclaim, Look at THEM. THEY are to blame our problems, just as Hitler did with Jews and homosexuals. No difference at all. Same MO, same evil.
Denny: very poor comparison, to compare innocent groups/people!! If Liberals keep excusing/condoning—safety & justice won’t be done! If one has no street/society smarts, then your/our families have no defense! Stop the cover-up of the facts/truths!!
Nativity doesn’t help society! If there’s a gang of white skin heads forming, we need to know the truth/facts to be aware of possible problems of who, in our society is causing the constant problems! Facts/truths!
