A woman is facing a felony count of assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly charging a victim with a “pointed object,” officials said.

On Friday around 6 a.m., deputies responded to a business on the 28500 block of Sand Canyon Road in Canyon Country regarding an attempted assault with a deadly weapon call, said Shirley Miller, spokesperson with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“The suspect allegedly approached the victim in the business and lunged at her with a pointed object, possibly a knife,” Miller said.

Victoria Lobo, 57, of Temple, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, a felony, according to Sheriff’s officials.

Lobo was transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail with bail set at $30,000, according to arrest records.
