Deputies received a call around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, said Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
When deputies responded to the report at the overflow parking lot for the Valencia amusement park, they observed a 22-year-old woman who had scaled a 30-foot tall structure and refused to come down.
She appeared to be in distress and in danger of falling, officials said.
Los Angeles County Fire Department officials raised a “basket” with officials who made contact and were able to talk the woman down without incident.
“There were two fireman and two deputies that ascended the tower and made contact,” Miller said. “She was brought down safely with the aid of deputies and the Fire Department.”
The woman was then transported to a local hospital for a medical evaluation.
