There are various ways to find solutions to the problems that have always troubled humanity; war is not one of them. As human beings, we possess qualities that set us apart from animals—intelligence, communication, awareness, negotiation skills, and a sense of humanity. However, it seems we still have a long way to grow as individuals.

We live in a multicultural country, which enriches us with knowledge and opens our minds. Our differences contribute to society through fresh ideas. Yet, at the same time, these differences make us part of the pain that many families feel because of the wars and issues in the countries from which many foreign citizens have come. Although they are here safe, their hearts are in pain with the fear of not knowing if they will see their loved ones again.
I urge us to come together as a community to advocate for peace! Let us be compassionate and understanding toward those families who carry deep stress and sorrow in their hearts while they wear smiles, pretending to live normal lives in a safe place like Santa Clarita, hiding their deep wounds inside.
The children in the schools of these families are going through tough times. I hope that our schools recognize this reality and offer the support they need. Parents go to work every day, yet often they receive no inquiries about their families—no signs of care or condolences.
When we truly live in community, we must do so with mutual love because we share the same space, the same life, and the same experiences.
The only positive thing I can find in war is the opportunity it gives us to open our eyes and have meaningful conversations with our families, especially our children, about compassion, unity, and empathy for those who are suffering and dying.
It is time for us to unite. Solutions can be found through intelligence, negotiation, and empathy. Achieving mutually beneficial agreements is possible when we, as humanity, truly desire it.
To promote this idea, I encourage taking part in an initiative for peace, taking inspiration from the KHTS Home & Garden Show.
“Home and Gardening in Favor of World Peace” invites families to join a campaign for peace by showcasing their commitment through a special dress code: wearing white. We encourage everyone to express their desire for peace through art, letters, messages, videos, and music at our Home and Gardening event.
Together, we can create a powerful movement for peace that fosters change in our community and beyond. Let’s unite to demonstrate our dedication to a more harmonious world!
