The event, sponsored by the foundation, allows community members, business leaders and parents to take a glimpse inside the daily life of the district.
This year’s event is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 5, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
The day begins with each participant spending a couple of hours with their chosen principal or district leader, followed by a catered luncheon with all principals, district administrators and sponsors attending.
Participants will enjoy an interactive program as well as introductions to the superintendents of the Hart, Castaic, Saugus, Sulphur Springs and Newhall School Districts.
The luncheon will be held at the Santa Clarita Activities Center and will feature a presentation from Newhall Land & Farming on the plan that brought the community, business and education together to create the Santa Clarita Valley we call home.
Event sponsorships for this 24th annual event are also available for companies wishing to support Student Enrichment Awards for teachers, student scholarships and other educational outreach programs produced by the SCV Education Foundation.
Sponsorships include tickets to the luncheon, a program ad and commemorative gift. Gold and silver levels include placement with a principal or administrator.

All five local school districts are involved in this event, including the Hart School District, Castaic, Saugus, Newhall and Sulphur Springs Districts.

The SCV Education Foundation is looking forward to every school in all five districts having at least one participant shadowing each principal this year.
