Baby’s Badass Burgers
Baby’s Badass Burgers was founded by event planner Lori Barbera and New York restaurant owner Erica Cohen. Cohen, a self described “Foodie,” started her career as one of the founders partners in the first of The ONE Group’s many restaurants. She has been searching for the perfect, quintessential cheeseburger since she was a little girl.” She ended her quest when she met fellow foodie Lori Barbera and started Baby’s Badass Burgers.
Barbera organizes events for many celebrities from Lauren Conrad to Common. She has also worked on events for companies from Comedy Central to Paramount, and shows from Dancing with the Stars to Big Love. Lori Barbera has used all of her experience in events and catering directly in the launch of Baby’s Badass Burgers. Barbera has used these connections in the entertainment industry to create a lot of buzz.
Both Cohen and Barbara have used their years of experience and expertise and poured it into Baby’s Badass Burgers. They developed their menu into something even better with the help of Executive Jason Ryczek. His culinary training began in Southern California in Jason Marcus’ San Diego restaurant Red Pearl Kitchen, soon moving to Los Angeles to continue developing his skills at various brasseries and steakhouses, such as One Sunset, Boa Steakhouse, and Artisan House.
“It’s been fascinating to witness the trend over the last decade of the gourmet burger being added to many high-end restaurant menus, and even more fascinating to appreciate consumers didn’t blink at an exorbitant $15+ price point,” Cohen explains. “Now, with the recession, that consumer perception around value is reversing course. Baby’s Badass Burgers, which strips out the hard costs of a traditional restaurant, allows us to deliver greater value at a fraction of the cost, more conveniently, without compromising restaurant-level quality. It’s a win-win-win from studio heads to college students to late night revelers looking to satisfy their gourmet burger craving.”
