The event will begin with an outdoor church service at 3 p.m. and will continue until 7 p.m, featuring music and guest speakers from the American Soaring Society, according to Becky Combs.
The Combs will also serve dinner, providing food baskets with fresh vegetables and fruit.
“I would like to help those who are jobless, low-income, orphans or fatherless. Please join us,” said Combs.
Combs has acted as director of community service for the Santa Clarita Seventh Day Adventist Church in the past.
The couple will distribute survey cards to discover the needs of attendees.
“Whatever they need, we want to try to provide it,” Combs said.
Attendees must RSVP by Nov. 7.
So far, 75 people are expected to attend and the couple has room for a total of 250 guests.
“I know a lot of people do not have jobs anymore,” Combs said. “We’re doing this to help whomever needs help.”
The event will be held in an open field on the Combs’ property, which is in Canyon Country, about two miles off of the Sierra Highway.
“The field is dirt so wear flat shoes and bring a sweater in case it gets cold,” said Combs.
