Elevate Church in Santa Clarita is inviting the community to attend one of seven Christmas services set to take place on Sunday, Dec. 22 and Tuesday, Dec. 24.

This year’s theme is “Timeless Hope,” where Lead Pastor Mauricio Ruiz is expected to deliver a message at each of the seven services at the Santa Clarita church’s location on Main Street in Newhall. 

“This year is a ‘Timeless Hope,’ and that simply means that nothing affects the passage of time,” Ruiz said. “You think about culture, you think about fashion, nothing affects Christmas. It’s the most powerful time of the year where we can come together as a family and celebrate the birth of our savior, and then get a lot of cool presents, I’m sure, when you get home.”

Sunday services on Dec. 22 are scheduled for 8 a.m., 9:45 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1:15 p.m., where attendees can experience “the wonder of music,” a dance production, a special appearance from the Grinch and Santa’s Workshop for children in addition to the message. 

Candlelight Christmas Eve services on Dec. 24 are planned for 5:30 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., and are expected to feature a creative kids production, special appearance from the Grinch and Santa’s Workshop for children in addition to the message.  

“We’re very creative in how we present the Christmas message,” Ruiz said. “We use a lot of arts, a lot of dance, a lot of music, kids productions — it’s a whole family event.”

Ruiz continued that Elevate Church is “not your typical church,” and uses Christ-focused music as “a huge part” of their “value”

“We have a motto that it’s the perfect place for people who are not, and it’s a safe place, it’s a fun place,” Ruiz said. “Church should be fun, and we like to make God’s message so relevant and applyable to every-single-day life.”
