Festival of Trees presented by the Boys & Girls Club of SCV- Top Things to do in Santa Clarita

‘Festival of Trees’ Annual Fundraiser To Benefit Boys & Girls Club Of Santa Clarita Valley

The annual “Festival of Trees” fundraiser this weekend is set to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley, officials said.

From Nov. 22-24, Santa Clarita residents can visit the Westfield Valencia Town Center, where the Festival of Trees will “kick off the holiday season,” according to event organizers.

“Join in the tradition and visit our Hall of Trees, where you will find (over) 40 beautifully designed and themed Christmas trees,” said Matthew Nelson, CEO of Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley. “In the Tabletop Christmas Trees area, you will discover three (to) four foot trees that are guaranteed to amaze even the most seasoned elf.”

The Festival of Trees is not all foliage, as the charity event is also expected to feature one-of-a-kind gingerbread houses. Along with the gingerbread houses, there will be several other events tied in, organizers said.

On Friday, Nov. 22, the Magic of the Lights Gala is set to be held at The Canyon, where guests can plan on bidding for trees and gingerbread houses in a silent auction, according to Nelson.

“The best way to experience the event is to attend the Magic of the Lights Gala on Friday night,” Nelson said. “The gala includes gourmet food, entertainment and the public’s only opportunity to bid on the live auction Christmas trees, many of which come with gifts such as event tickets, wine, furniture, jewelry and more.”

Tickets for the Magic of the Lights Gala are now available. In addition, two other special events are said to be included with the benefit for the Boys & Girls Club of SCV: the Jingle Jam and the Holiday Hocus Pocus Magic Show.

The Jingle Jam is a ticketed swing dance, where guests are invited to dance to big band music, being performed live by The Inferno. The Jingle Jam is scheduled for Thursday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The Holiday Hocus Pocus Magic Show is said to be an hour of up-close magic acts and a stage performance, scheduled for Saturday starting at 6 p.m.
