Santa Clarita Easter Events Offer Ways For Everyone To Celebrate

From egg hunts to Easter services, Santa Clarita Easter events are as bountiful as the season.

This week there are a variety of activities for Santa Clarita residents to celebrate the holiday such as egg hunts, barbecues and more. Some of the community events include:

“PrEaster” at COC presented by Crossroads Community Church

When: Saturday, April 15 starting at 8 a.m.

Where: College of the Canyons Stadium, 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road in Valencia

Website: Easter at COC

What: This event is for the whole family and is open to the public. There will be bounce houses, field games, a concert, egg hunt and an outdoor movie. While there is no charge for the event, families can purchase a pizza dinner.

“Alive” – Easter at Real Life Church

When: Valencia Campus – Thursday, April 13 at 7 p.m.; Friday, April 14 at 5 and 7 p.m.; Saturday, April 15 at 5 and 7 p.m.; Sunday, April 16 at 8:30, 10, and 11:30 a.m.; Canyon Country – Sunday, April 16 at 8:30 and 10 a.m.; Online – All Valencia campus services will be streamed online

Where: Valencia Campus – 23841 Newhall Ranch Road in Valencia; Canyon Country – Edwards Cinema 10, 18800 Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country

What: Real Life Church is excited to bring a family-fun, California-style Easter to Valencia, Canyon Country, the Santa Clarita Valley and our online community. At the Valencia campus, you’ll want to arrive early because we have a zip line. That’s right – we have a 200-foot long, 28-foot high zip line! At both campuses, we have awesome bounce houses and activities for the whole family. When you need to take a break from all the fun, grab a bite to eat at Food-a-palooza. In an effort to make Easter that much more awesome, we also are having Easter at the Park. From April 13 to15 on the Valencia Campus, you and the family can bring your lawn chairs and blankets to Easter. We will be streaming our services live outside at the Bridgeport Marketplace Park.

Eggstravaganza presented by the City of Santa Clarita

When: Saturday, April 15 at 10 a.m.

Where: Central Park, 27150 Bouquet Canyon Road in Santa Clarita

What: Let the hunt begin! Santa Clarita is holding its popular Egg Scramble Egg Hunt at the annual Eggstravaganza. The egg hunt, for kids age 10 and younger, is free and open to the public.

8th Annual Splash and Dash Egg Hunt at the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center

When: Saturday, April 15 at 10 a.m.

Where: Santa Clarita Aquatic Center, 20850 Centre Pointe Pkwy in Santa Clarita

What: Bring your egg basket and swim trunks to the pool party at the 8th Annual Splash and Dash Egg Hunt! The event is free to attend, but participants are encouraged to bring a canned or nonperishable food donation to benefit the SCV Food Pantry. Open to kids age 10 and under.

2nd Annual Easter Dragon Boat Balloon/Egg Hunt and Barbecue

When: Saturday, April 15 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Where: Castaic Lake’s Lower Lagoon, Paradise Cove, 32132 Castaic Lake Drive in Castaic

What: Come and experience paddling on a dragon boat for the entire family! Learn how to paddle together as a team and reach prize-filled balloons floating on the lake. We will provide paddles and personal flotation devices for all. Afterward, we will have a barbecue and talk about our paddling stories. Please RSVP a seat on the boat by calling the Castaic Lake at 661-257-4050.

Pictures with the Easter Bunny at Westfield Valencia Town Center

When: Open until Saturday, April 15 daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Daily bunny breaks scheduled from 2-2:15 p.m. and 5-5:15 p.m.

Where: 24201 West Valencia Boulevard in Valencia

What: The Easter Bunny is available for photos on the Level 1 of Westfield Valencia Town Center, near Sears.

Gilchrist Farm Egg Hunt and Spring Fling

When: Saturday, April 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: 30116 Bouquet Canyon Road in Santa Clarita

What: There will be age-appropriate egg hunts at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.. A petting zoo at the farm will feature chicks and baby goats. Included in the petting zoo admission is a special “Hug a Bunny” zone where seven of the farm’s bunnies will be available for cuddles and pictures. There also will be a butterfly release at noon by Animal Care Class students. Pony rides, petting zoo, a spring craft zone, and wagon rides will also be offered. Pony Rides $5 (80 pounds and under), Wagon Rides $5 per rider (babes in arms free), Petting Zoo (includes the Hug a Bunny!) $5 for kids-parents accompany free of charge, Crafts $5 per craft, Print Pictures $3.

Billy Beez Bunny Event

Where: Billy Beez at Westfield Valencia Town Center, 24201 Valencia Boulevard in Valencia

When: 9:30-11:30 a.m. Westfield Easter event (arts and crafts, receive a special spring gift); 9:45-10:30 a.m. Bunny Meet & Greet; 11:30 a.m. through the afternoon, enjoy the ultimate indoor play park.

What: Enjoy the ultimate indoor play park for heart-pumping, family fun! Kids and kids-at-heart can run, jump, bounce, slide and climb their way to adventure! Space is limited! Toddlers 1-4 years cost  $17.95; children 5-17 years cost $19.95. To RSVP, call 661-460-5558 or email [email protected].
