Part of the parks rapidly upcoming Metropolis overhaul, the Metro Park Pub looks to be the place to be for those looking for to take a moment for some great food and drinks.

KHTS News took part in a media preview of the upcoming Metropolis pub that looks to put a culinary spin on some of their more traditional fares while giving park-goers a new place to relax, grab a drink and even experience some live entertainment.

The pub is located directly across from the Gold Rusher roller coaster and will be one of the few places in the park where patrons can enjoy draft beer while taking in some live entertainment.

One of the main focuses of the pub is to bring a new, elevated menu to the park allowing for the more culinary-inclined to have a place to put their feet up and grab some grub.

Some of the new dishes headed to the pub are; a twist on traditional nachos replacing the tortilla chips with chicharrones (pork rinds) and topped with nacho cheese, tomatoes, jalapenos, and shredded pork; an updated fish and chips; a power kale salad; new flatbread pizza and more.

Metropolis opens to the public Wednesday, July 12, and coming with it will be the brand new Justice League: Battle For Metropolis ride as well as the new Metro Park Pub.

The “Justice League: Battle For Metropolis” ride is also looking to make a splash when it arrives early in July.

“[It] is like a video game come to life,” said Bonnie Sherman Weber, Six Flags Magic Mountain park president.  “An immersive, multi-sensory experience with the most sophisticated technology available that is sure to deliver an unprecedented experience to thrill seekers of all ages.”
