Outpatient Rehab In Santa Clarita: Asking For Help Is The First Step

An outpatient rehab in Santa Clarita is sharing their message that asking for help with substance use or mental health issues is the first step toward recovery.

Adolescents and adults alike can find substance use disorder and family counseling at The Way Out Recovery SCV in an alcohol- and drug-free environment.

“We believe in a supportive, non-punitive approach to treatment with the goal being the achievement of complete abstinence from mood and mind-altering substances,” officials said.

The professional, knowledgeable staff utilize assessment tools designed to fit within their program’s therapeutic modalities to help determine the individualized needs of their clients, with appropriate treatment settings determined based on severity.

“Our approach includes mixed modalities, as each client has individual needs and therefore, individual treatment goals,” officials said. “We believe in including all supportive persons and community support in the treatment process.”

Confidential group counseling is available several times per week, which addresses the disease model of addiction, consequences of use, cross-addiction, relapse prevention, introduction to 12-step approaches, building support, identifying negative and positive peer influence, stress management and utilizing healthy coping skills.

Groups integrate a variety of methods to support the recovery process, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, physical activity, peer encouragement, 12-step panels, rhythmic social and emotional skill building and more.

In addition, confidential family group counseling is offered on a weekly basis to address family systems theory, supportive interactions, conflict resolution, healthy communication skills and the genetic components of addiction.

Confidential individual sessions are provided as needed to address treatment planning, referral to other agencies, discharge and ongoing care planning, conjoint family sessions and crisis intervention.

Officials concluded, “We will provide a safe, confidential space for clients and their families to begin healing.”
