Veterans Services Collaborative
I first had the pleasure of meeting Lynn Arndt many months ago at one of our SCV Veterans Services Collaborative’s monthly meetings.

Lynn’s presence at these meetings proved to me that she was a bonafide American patriot, thus when she sought me out to help promote her service to our Veterans I was more than happy to participate.

American Patriots

Lynn’s strong sense of patriotism stems from her family’s extensive military service, which all began with her father’s twenty year Navy career. Her father’s twenty year career in the Navy included a mentionable time spent aboard a Nuclear Submarine.

Lynn proudly told me that her daughter Amanda serves as a Lieutenant with the U.S Navy.

In addition to Amanda serving as a Lieutenant in the Navy, her twin sister and Lynn’s other daughter, Ashley currently serves as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force.

Plus, Amanda’s husband Gabe is a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and Ashley’s husband Garrett pilots an Air Force C-146 Wolfhound tactical transport aircraft. In addition, Lynn’s cousin Jay is an Air Force Veteran.

Lynn Andt hails from New Hampshire where she had been building her practice and her profession in cosmetology since 1984.

Cosmetologists can tend to be broad in the their abilities, but Lynn decided she wanted to put her focus on a specialty and that happened to be hairdressing.

In August of 2008 Lynn decided to relocate right here in Valencia, California where she adores our amazing Souther California weather.

The overall high cost of California living, however, not as adorable.

After Lynn gave birth to her first son, she remained gainfully employed at College of the Canyons as an Advisory Board Coordinator with their Career Technical Education Program (CTE) for five years.

After her five year stint with CTE at local College of The Canyons, Lynn decided to begin training in pursuit of her California Cosmetology License, so she could continue doing what she loved.

Lynn started working on her California Cosmetology License in February of 2019 and she earned her license last December in 2019.

Lynn promptly secured a station for herself and her cliental at Concerto Salon.

Concerto Salon and Spa is located at 23340 Cinema Drive in Valencia where she enjoys her hours being fairly flexible.

Lynn’s efforts and thoughts of giving back to Veterans in her local community has been a prominent part of her life, as she volunteers with SCV Veterans Services Collaborative and our very own Veterans Center located at 23222 Lyons Avenue in Newhall.

Recently, Lynn launched her very own program that provides discount hair cuts for Veterans.

Veteran Men are priced at $10 a hair cut and veteran Women are priced at $20 a haircut.
