Toni and Dr. Thomas Polucki used their Newhall Chiropractic Office to hold a food drive benefitting Help The Children, an international nonprofit that works to support children and families.

The Poluckis held the food drive between Oct. 26 and Nov. 22 and ended up bringing in 110 food items, as well as 12 personal care items.

Help The Children was able to use those donations to help keep their food pantry stocked during the holiday season, providing children and their families with the aid they need during what could be a difficult part of the year.

“They are a great organization, no child in Santa Clarita should go hungry at all,” said Dr. Polucki. “Especially during the holiday’s people are more geared up and in the giving spirit so we tried to to leverage that to get some people to help.”

Help The Children’s Santa Clarita roots go back to the Hunger Defense Fund after the two organizations merged in early 2009.
