Congressman Mike Garcia, R-Santa Clarita, hosted a town hall at College of the Canyons, with residents taking the opportunity to ask the congressman questions and hear him speak.
On Tuesday night people filed into the Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons to hear Garcia speak in a scheduled town hall.

Backed by a large projector screen which showcased facts and statistics from his representative career, Garcia spoke to a crowd from the stage.
Garcia began the town hall by letting the crowd know what he has done throughout the two years of being in office, emphasizing his support of veterans, law enforcement and stricter foreign policy on countries like China.
“It’s important we double down our support for law enforcement,” said Garcia. “Defunding the police movement did a lot of damage financially and to the respect we have for law enforcement.”
Garcia also addressed his concerns about the fentanyl crisis in Los Angeles County, specifically in Santa Clarita.
“Our kids right now are currently going through social media and arranging for prescription drugs to be delivered to their house. But what’s actually being delivered is fentanyl,” said Garcia.

Garcia was present for the press conference held by Action Rehab in Santa Clarita on the fentanyl crisis.
Garcia also went on to discuss recent decisions he has made on bills in the House, explaining to the audience why he made the vote he did.
By 8:30 p.m. Garcia opened up the town hall to the crowd, encouraging the audience to ask questions at the microphone.
Some questions asked revolved around the future for seniors on Medicare based on newly passed legislation, to which Garcia answered: “The future of healthcare in our country is not good. It’s a mess and we need to get it back on track.”
Constituents were able to have direct conversations with Garcia throughout the night, asking him his opinion on certain policies or why he voted the way he did on past legislation.

Wow! Three people showed up! I guess he should have asked his good buddy Trump to come!
He should have invited Katy Hill to come and show her new tattoo’s and cleaned out bong, while singing America the Beautiful. I think she would have come, too.
This article sucks. There is no depth. No commentary on the mood of the audience, or what Garcia said. There was a question on Medicare and the future. You quoted Garcia saying that it sucks. .. that’s it. Is that really all he said? What is he going to do about it? What was the mood of the audience? What other questions and replies were asked? You need better journalist and editors. You pretty much
This was a wonderful event for our congressman to interact with constituents. He didn’t shy away from any questions or issues. It’s great to have such a smart and dedicated leader representing Santa Clarita and other portions of Los Angeles County.
Nah. Just another Trump cult sheeple.
