In light of the devastating attacks in Kabul, Afghanistan, Congressman Mike Garcia (R-Santa Clarita) released a statement regarding the condition of troops, citizens, and allies stuck in the country.
In a recent development, a number of U.S. soldiers were allegedly killed in Kabul this morning in an attack on the Kabul airport. This comes after the Biden administration announced the withdrawal of all troops from Afghanistan earlier this year, and the subsequent takeover by the Taliban, according to officials with Garcia’s office.
“[My wife] and I send our prayers and deepest condolences to the families of the U.S. service members that gave the ultimate sacrifice in Kabul this morning. We are also praying for those injured in the attacks, for the Americans and Afghan allies still stranded and awaiting evacuation, and for the safety of our American troops still there serving an important mission,” Garcia said.
A veteran of the Iraq war, Garcia is passionate about politics and compassionate for our troops, declaring “Today was one of the deadliest days for the U.S. Military in the last 20 years and it was preventable.
“I have said from the day the President announced his plan to unconditionally withdraw from Afghanistan by a date set that his approach would only fuel the Global War on Terror and embolden terrorists. Today’s attacks prove this to be true,” Garcia said.
Confidently stating that the President made a grave mistake in his actions regarding the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan, Garcia says “President Biden must disregard the Aug. 31st withdrawal deadline that was set on the Taliban’s terms. He must instead commit to evacuating all Americans and our Afghan allies. Anything less than that is inexcusable.”
“We cannot continue to rely on diplomacy with the Taliban to resolve this situation. This is clearly a military operation and the President must treat it as such. America must utilize all resources at our disposal to protect American lives and keep our promises to our allies,” Garcia said.

I can agree on Gascon, but don’t fall this Newsom hoopla.

I’m not paranoid. You’re side is quoting fire, brimstone and every fear of biblical proportions. I’m surprised most on the right aren’t building arks in their backyards.
Me personally, I just think pointing blame at Newsome for Covid has much bigger ulterior motives. That’s all.
Newsom was being recalled before there ever was a Covid.
I am glad to see you agree on Gascon and give you credit. However, Newsome is cut of the same religion. There is a reason all the problems of San Francisco are now found in every CA city. In addition, the narrative that this is a Republican power grab is simply not born out of the facts. Several surveys have shown double-digit percentage of Democrats support the recall. I personally know several of them and many more have been interviewed about their position. The teachers and SEIU union members will always snap in line but even some of them want change and are breaking ranks.
Garcetti,Newsom and Gascon belong to the same union and nothing gets done without all three of them knowing.Scumbag Garcettis reign comes to an end as mayor and that POS is literally being sent as far away from LA as you can get in going to India and that’s the only thing Biden’s gotten right in his first 7 months as president.Alcatraz needs to be opened up just for the other 2 losers with an endless supply of rolling blackouts and no cash bail convicts.
We all got a bit of track with CA issues here but the common theme all around is the position of ‘unconditional’. What is happening overseas is due to terms being changed from conditions to unconditional and this is the same theme in CA. Homeless people get unconditional aid and dont get clean, the stimulus is unconditional and money ends up in the hands of criminals, prisoners are unconditionally let out of prison. When you remove conditions from people, you bring out the bad side of human nature which is taking advantage of the situation resulting in unintended consequences. The progressive policies are all rooted in unconditional terms and no personal responsibility. This is what has created deteriorating conditions in so many cities. People at all levels need to be held to account and when they are, they perform better and improve. There is a ton of history to back this.

Remember that a libertarian believes in having fewer laws, so not sure how he could rectify our problems effectively and carry out your point of holding people accountable. Lots of money has been spent on this recall, so let’s not waste it on someone who enjoys inflaming situations and offending people. We’ve been down that road.That won’t help us. We need greater unity, in my opinion.
First of all this is not about Newsom but yes that jackwagon needs to go along with his aunt and every other dumbass in california democrat party.. this is about our military in a disgusting place.. we lost to many young soldiers and civilians…
Now newsom agrees with biden on pulling troops out like he did a d he needs to be removed asap just as biden and harris and pelosi.. if you think biden did good then head to Kabul and help the ISIS- k because you are UN-AMERICAN.. yes we need to get out but not like that and why is obama telling Biden what to do. So what exactly is a different (Republican or Libertarian ) governor going to do? I’d like to hear about the specific actions he will take between the impeachment and the next election, and how it will have been worth all the money that went into the impeachment of Newsome. This is a real question.
