Garcia Statement On Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s Joint Address To Congress

Congressman Mike Garcia, R-Santa Clarita, released a statement Wednesday on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Joint Address to Congress.

“The People’s House stands with Israel,” said Rep. Garcia. “It was an honor to attend Prime Minister Netanyahu’s joint address to Congress, and his remarks serve as an important reminder of the reality we face.

The Prime Minister’s first address to U.S. lawmakers in nearly a decade, the event was also the first time that Netanyahu had addressed the legislative body since the terrorist organization Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7 of last year.

“On one side of this war is our greatest ally and their democratically elected leaders, who are fighting to reclaim hostages – including eight American hostages – and root terrorists out of Gaza. On the other side is Hamas – a U.S.-designated terrorist organization – which began this war with its mass murder, rape, and kidnapping on October 7, and whose leaders pledge to do it ‘again and again.’ This is a clear case of good and evil.

According to reports from Israel, Hamas militants killed more than 1,200 people and took 253 captive back to Gaza, of those, more than 100 are still thought to be held hostage. The official Palestinian Ministry of Health – Gaza death count as of Thursday, July 25, was 39,175 Palestinians dead, mostly civilians.

“The peace that we all seek can only be achieved through strength and a willingness to use it. The fastest way to peace and stability in the Middle East is with an Israeli victory. The current administration needs to stop standing in the way of that victory, stop appeasing Iran and its terrorist proxies, and start supporting an outright victory for our Israeli brothers and sisters.”

  1. Gee, Mike did your AIPAC guy tell you write this. I guess you haven’t heard the IDF general say that they can’t defeat them because HAMAS is an idea not an army. You mentioned 39-40 thousand dead civilians, how do you think that happened? Like many, I find the protestor’s actions stupid and moronic because they do nothing for the cause they supposedly represent, the people who did peacefully are not antisemitic, nor is Congressman Massie who seems one of the only ones who stand on principle. Hamas was created by Israel and United States, that’s a fact, and it’s time for peace. Israel is surrounded by Arabic countries and the talk of war with Iran is just plain insane. Greater Israel is not going to happen, and I believe President Trump is starting to realize this fact. Why don’t you start with America first because we have our own problems that are vast and stop the neocon war drums that has depleted our economy and has added so much to our debt totally ruining our future generation’s future. ENOUGH!
