Amour still holds the belief that more government intervention lowers cost which is not the case. It is why we have the problems we have at the State level which trickles to the City. Adding taxes and placing caps on rent is not a solution, it is meant to punish. Rent is high because we are adding 100k migrants a month in this Country
Barlavi advocated for forced vaccinations for ALL to attend school. This was well after it was known that vaccination did NOT prevent spread. Absolutely NOT. On the homeless, we already approved multiple bonds for homeless. We dont need a website where residents can contribute more money. This isnt a money issue, it is a mental health (which he correctly identifies) and an appropriation problem. Laws prevent treatment and housing in this State. He addresses none of that. Anyone that keeps pointing to Science, like Gascon does, loses me as he attempts to say his beliefs are aligned to science so you cannot disagree. He actually says we need to get rid of law and order.
Another pair of progressives looking to move SCV into San Francisco aligned failed policies.
Ms. Thomas seems to have a more pragmatic approach and lack of activist agenda which makes her more aligned to what most people who live here and move here want, which is NOT a move towards San Francisco or even San Fernando Valley politics.
