A Canyon Country gas main break has prompted evacuations and road closures Tuesday morning, officials said.
The gas main break was reported at about 6 a.m. Tuesday at the Costco on the 18600 block of Via Princessa in Canyon Country, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“Units working a gas main break at a commercial building,” said Fire officials on Twitter. “Approximately 20 employees have been evacuated and the gas company is on-scene.”
As a result of the break, Via Princessa was shut down but has since reopened, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
After the break was contained, employees were able to return to the business, according to Sheriff’s officials.
No injuries reported in the incident.
