Smoke and fire may be visible from Bouquet Canyon Road and nearby areas during a prescribed burn set to take place Tuesday and Wednesday north of Santa Clarita.
On Tuesday, March 15 and Wednesday, March 16, prescribed burning is scheduled to take place in the Artesian Springs area northeast of Santa Clarita along Forest Service Route 6N08.
Smoke is not expected to have a significant impact on surrounding areas.
However, smoke may settle into the Bouquet Reservoir and north of Bouquet Canyon Road Tuesday night and affect the area through early morning on Wednesday.
A smoke column is expected to emanate from the site of the burns.
No main roads are scheduled to be closed during the burns, which are expected to affect 125 acres of land.
