Dodgers Can’t Stop Hitting Solo Home Runs En Route To Four Game Winning Streak

L.A. struck first against the Cubs, marking the sixth straight win against Chicago at Chavez Ravine, dating back to last postseason.

The Dodgers have hit eleven solo home shots during this current four game streak, and everyone is getting in on the action.

Chris Taylor (hamstring) came off the bench in the eighth inning last night to launch what turned out to be the game-winning homer, moving the Dodgers within a game and a half of the Diamondbacks in the National League West.

What’s more, the starting rotation is starting to come together after several weeks of battling through injuries. Kenta Maeda was at his best Monday, pitching seven scoreless innings with nine strikeouts to just one walk. The Cubs hit safely three times against the Japanese international.

Tonight, the Dodgers send Ross Stripling to the mound. Stripling has been arguably the Dodgers best and most consistent pitcher this season: 6-2, 1.99 ERA and 85 strikeouts in 72.1 innings of work. He’ll face the Cubs’ ace, Jon Lester.

First pitch is at 7:00, and you can listen live on your Dodgers station in the Santa Clarita Valley, KHTS FM 98.1.
