The Dodgers were just swept in Arizona after a 3-0 early afternoon loss on Wednesday. They drop to 2-5 on the season.

Being 2-5 isn’t that big of a deal in a 162 game season. However, being 2-5 and shut out in 43% of those games is troubling to say the least. Including Tuesday’s 6-1 loss, they’ve either scored five, nine, zero or one.

The Dodgers had just one hit in today’s game, and only got on base an additional three times via walks. No one in the top six of the regular batting order is hitting over .300 to open the year.

This time last season, Justin Turner was carrying the offense on a nightly basis. He won’t be on the field any time soon, so it’s up to someone else to step up and spark the offense.

L.A. has an off day tomorrow, then gets a chance to right the ship up in San Francisco over the weekend.
