El Dorado’s leading scorer, Caleb Hendrix, has 195 points but is a defensive standout with 30 steals, 14 blocks, and 85 rebounds. If Canyon can limit Hendrix, they’ll have a strong chance to win.
West Ranch (12-14) vs. Palm Springs (20-8)
West Ranch Looks to Capitalize on Playoff Opportunity
West Ranch battled through a challenging season, experiencing highs and lows in Foothill League play. Despite their inconsistent performance, they have secured a playoff berth and now have a chance to make a statement. As history has shown, sometimes all a team needs is an opportunity—just like last year’s Castaic squad, which struggled in league play but found postseason success, ultimately winning a championship last season.
Valencia (11-16) vs. Walnut (19-9)
Co-Foothill League Champions Seek Playoff Success
Valencia enters the postseason with momentum after a two-game win streak. With 10 seniors and seven sophomores on the roster, their experience and youth will be key as they face Walnut at home on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Division 4A
SCCS (13-11) at Paloma Valley (12-13)
SCCS Earns At-Large Bid
Santa Clarita Christian School (SCCS) improved from last season’s 4-16 record to 13-11, securing an at-large playoff spot. They head into the first round on a two-game win streak, aiming for an upset on the road.

Trinity Takes on Mt. Baldy League Champions
Trinity Classical Academy will be on the road facing Chino, the Mt. Baldy League champions. The Knights will rely on their leading scorer, Shawn Jamison Jr. (478 points), but must watch out for Chino’s well-rounded squad, which features different players leading in key categories: Treston Davis (38 steals), Daniel Cox (24 blocks), and Dario Shields (166 rebounds).

Valencia (24-4) at San Clemente (23-5)
Battle of League Champions

Despite having a young squad, Valencia has been dominant, led by freshman Kamilla Basyrova, who has scored 540 points this season, including a single-game record of 40 points. Other key contributors include Cara McKell (72 steals, 212 rebounds, 93 assists) and Keira McLaughlin (62 blocks). Their first-round game is set for Thursday at 7 p.m.

San Jacinto counters with their scoring leader, Luvlee Sadler, who has 518 points. The two teams clash Thursday at 7 p.m. at Hart High School.
Saugus (16-11) vs. Dos Pueblos (15-11)
Saugus Faces Red-Hot Opponent
Saugus will take on a Dos Pueblos squad riding a five-game win streak. However, the Centurions are battle-tested from their tough Foothill League schedule and have proven they can handle close games. They begin their postseason journey Thursday at 7 p.m. on the road.
Division 2A
Trinity (24-4) at Segerstrom (20-7)
Heritage League Champions Look to Continue Success
Trinity finished a historic regular season with a 13-0 record in league play. However, they cannot afford to underestimate Segerstrom, which has three players with over 295 points this season. Claudia Solis, their leading scorer, averages 14.2 PPG. This matchup is scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m.
Canyon (14-14) vs. Notre Dame Academy (18-10)
Canyon Takes on Angelus League Champions
Notre Dame Academy enters the playoffs on an eight-game win streak and as the Angelus League champions. Canyon will rely heavily on freshman sensation Darby Dunn, who leads the team in points (506), steals (106), and assists (160). Despite Notre Dame’s momentum, Canyon’s well-rounded squad has the potential to make a strong playoff push.
SCCS (17-7) vs. Anaheim (12-9)
SCCS Seeks Playoff Success
SCCS turned their fortunes around this season, improving from last year’s 8-10 record to 17-7. Riding a five-game win streak, they face Anaheim, whose star player, Melia Hinojos, is averaging 19.5 PPG while shooting 58 percent from the field.
