Santa Clarita NFL Performances In Week 15

Get the latest on the performances of former Santa Clarita football players who continue to make their mark on the NFL each week.

Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown

Former College of the Canyons wide receiver Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown has continued to shine in his sophomore season in the NFL as a member of the Baltimore Ravens.

A first round pick in 2019, Brown has emerged as the Raven’s top receiving target this season, and leads the team in targets, receptions and receiving yards. Through 14 games, Brown has pulled in 49 receptions for 703 yards and five touchdowns.

In his most recent outing against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Brown hauled in 6 receptions for 98 yards in a dominant 40-14 win for Baltimore.

Brown has already surpassed his 584 total receiving yards in his rookie season but has two games remaining in the regular season to attempt to match or surpass his rookie season touchdown total of seven.

His next opportunity is scheduled to come when the Ravens play at home against the New York Giants on Sunday at 10 a.m.

Domata Peko

Former COC Football defensive end Domata Peko played his fourth game as a member of the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday since he joined the team midseason.

Peko contributed two tackles in an important 33-26 win at home over the Philadelphia Eagles to make it 12 tackles total in his four games played this season.

With the win, the Cardinals remain in the hunt for a playoff spot in a NFC competitive playoff race as Peko continues to seek to add more postseason success to his career resume.

Next up Peko and the Cardinals have an important divisional game at home against the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Jason Pierre-Paul

Former COC defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul has been producing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 11th year of his NFL career as he continues to seek an opportunity to add more hardware to his trophy case which includes a Super Bowl ring as a member of the New York Giants in 2011.

Despite the fact that he didn’t carry an injury designation heading into Sunday’s game, Pierre-Paul didn’t play in the Bucanneer’s game against the Atlanta Falcon after he was unable to practice throughout the week with a knee injury.

Pierre-Paul has been Tampa Bay’s leading pass rusher this season, with 9.5 sacks and 31 tackles so far in 2020.

He’ll look to bounce back from the minor injury in Tampa’s next game Saturday on the road against the Detroit Lions at 10 a.m.

Tedric Thompson

Now in his fourth season in the league, Tedric Thompson joined the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs this offseason on a one-year deal, and was afforded some opportunities to see the field with the team.

Thompson recorded 13 tackles, 11 solo and two assisted, in six appearances as a member of the Chiefs before he was waived by the team on Nov. 28.

He was quickly claimed off of waivers by the Cleveland Browns two days later. With several weeks of practice under his belt as a member of the team, Thompson is now ready to see the field, but hasn’t yet been afforded the opportunity.

His next chance may come in Cleveland’s upcoming matchup on the road against the New York Jets, Sunday at 10 a.m.
