Los Angeles Lakers

Just when it looked like the Lakers turned a corner and were playing more complete games, the bad habits that plague this young team flared up again.

Los Angeles was shredded by Portland’s superior guard play on Tuesday, getting blown out at home in the second half after holding a slight advantage (57-55) at halftime. LA proceeded to lose 108-87.

The starting backcourt of the Trail Blazers (Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum) outscored Nick Young and D’Angelo Russell, 45-17, and the Lakers only managed 30 points as a team in the second half Tuesday night, shooting 38.6% for the game.

It will never be a good thing when Luol Deng leads the team in scoring with 14 points.

Next up for the Lakers are the vaunted San Antonio Spurs in San Antonio on Thursday. Tip-off is at 5:30 pm.
