Santa Clarita Blue Heat

The Heat stormed to the top of the West Conference standings with a convincing 4-2 season finale win over visiting Colorado Pride on Friday night at The Master’s College.

Santa Clarita got out to 2-1 first half lead and added two more after the break. Kasandra Massey assisted on the game winner and added the fourth insurance goal late.

The Blue Heat finish the season earning points in four consecutive games (three wins and one tie) for 15 points total and earn the West Conference title.

Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers (52-42) fell to Arizona on Sunday, 6-5, despite a three-hit game from Corey Seager and four RBI from Justin Turner.

Los Angeles were down 6-0 by the end of the seventh inning, and a late rally ended just short.

Today is a travel day, and the Dodgers will be in the Nation’s capital for a three-game series with the Nationals starting tomorrow. It is the middle series of a nine-game road trip.

As for injury news, Clayton Kershaw is expected to return to the team at some point this week with Alex Wood and Bret Anderson following shortly.

Joc Pederson (shoulder) will return to the lineup Tuesday night, however there is disappointing news for Andre Ethier.

Ethier’s leg is still not fully healed after experiencing a recent setback. Though he recently said he hopes to return before season’s end, it appears to be unknown exactly when that’ll be at this point.
