Santa Clarita Football

While most of the Foothill League is on a bye this week, the two favorites for the banner will be in action tonight.

The KHTS Game of the Week, the Hart Indians (3-1) are looking to get back on track against Ventura after their heartbreaking loss to St. Bonaventure last week. Nelson James and Co. take the field tonight at Cougar Stadium, Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

Elsewhere in the Foothill League, the Valencia Vikings (2-2) travel to Corona tonight in a match-up with the best team in the state, #1 Centennial. This will undoubtedly be the toughest game on the Vikings schedule, and they will certainly be battle tested when the open league play.

Trinity Knights (2-1) will look to recover from their first bit of adversity as an 11 on 11 team coming off their first loss of the season last week. The Knights will take on the winless California School of the Deaf Friday at Canyon High School.

Fresh off of a 64-0 blitzing of Firebaugh, the Santa Clarita Christian Cardinals (3-1) are up against Southlands Christian, who defeated Trinity in a close one last week. The game will be held at Canyons Saturday night.

COC Football

The #2 ranked Canyons Cougars (4-0) have their first day game of the season Saturday, a conference matchup with Bakersfield at Cougar Stadium. Listen to the game on AM 1220 KHTS and on web. Pregame is at 12:45 p.m., kickoff is at 1 p. m.
