Canyon (13-4, 3-6) vs. Valencia (22-5, 8-1)

Boys Basketball

Friday, 6:30 p.m., Canyon High School

Valencia clinched their Foothill League title with their win and a Hart loss on Tuesday, but will look to finish out the season on a strong note as they prepare to make their playoff run. Gilbert ‘JR’ Camacho has emerged as a consistent scoring threat for the Vikings this season, averaging 18 points per game over his last five.

Saugus (22-4, 9-0) vs. Hart (12-11, 5-4)

Girls Basketball

Friday, 3:15 p.m., Saugus High School

Saugus has an opportunity to complete their undefeated Foothill League regular season Friday night against Hart at home on Senior Night. The Centurions handled their business in the first meeting between these two teams, leaving with a 56-36 win. Hart comes into the game with the momentum of a win at their own Senior Night on Tuesday, while Saugus most recently endured one of their toughest challenges yet to pull out a 56-51 win over Canyon.

Hart (19-1-3, 8-0-1) vs. Saugus (8-4-6, 3-1-5)

Girls Soccer

Friday, 4:45 p.m., Hart High School

In a mirror of the girls basketball matchup, Hart has a chance to finish off their unbeaten Foothill League season on Friday at home against Saugus. Saugus isn’t likely to roll over for the Indians, however, as they’ve proven to be a tough defensive matchup, even playing Hart to their only draw of the Foothill League season so far.

#12 Master’s (17-5) vs. #21 William Jessup (16-7)

College Basketball

Saturday, 2 p.m., The Master’s Universit

Master’s has gone on their second two-game slide since the start of January. They have a chance to correct course Thursday night, but a potentially more meaningful matchup lay ahead Saturday night with No. 21-ranked William Jessup University on Saturday. The Mustangs’ last two opponents have been able to contain their interior attack led by Tim Soares, so they’ll have to find a way to get their big man going to get their season back on track.
