Saturday afternoon, the West Ranch Wildcats came up just short in the CIF Southern Section Division 2 Championship, falling to Santa Margarita in a hard-fought five-set match. Despite the loss, West Ranch’s season continues as they advance to the CIF State Division 1 Tournament.
Against Santa Margarita, the Wildcats battled to the end, forcing a decisive fifth set before ultimately falling 26-28, 25-21, 25-23, 13-25, 15-11.
