Real Andrews, a 52-year-old Valencia resident won a Daytime Emmy award as a cast member for “The Bay The Series”.

The “Outstanding New Approaches- Drama Series” award was given to the cast during the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards this past April.

The Bay is a web series that focuses on the socialites of Bay City, described as a posh community by the sea where forbidden love, malicious lies and scandals abound,” according to their website.

The Bay received its first Emmy nomination in 2012 and has been in production for three seasons. It will resume season four in the fall of 2015, according to their website.

“When you win an Emmy, that opens up new doors,” Andrews said. “ The cast is amazing. It has a lot of powerful people from the soap opera world who I respect. We are all looking forward to the new things that will come next season.”

Andrews who has been part of the series since its inception, said Gregori J. Martin, the creator and executive producer reached out to him and the other actors four years ago.

“The Bay started as a dream from Gregori and it was a labor of love,” Andrews said. “Most of us didn’t even think it would last more than one season.”

Andrews who plays Dr. Keith Campbell, the resident doctor of Bay city, described his role as unusual for him.

“I like to play bad boy roles and Dr. Campbell is the exact opposite of that,” Andrews said. “I have asked Gregori over and over if Dr. Campbell can be bad but he always says no.”

Besides the Bay, Andrews was also part of “General Hospital” and the movie “Soldiers of Fortune.” His resume also includes work as a motivational speaker, fitness instructor, author and producer of a reality fishing show called “The Real Catch.”

“I’ve loved to fish all my life,” Andrews said. “I had a vision and I decided to highlight and hookup with locals and real people.”

The show has been shot in different areas throughout the country such as Alabama, Kentucky, Missouri and California, which has some of the best fisheries in the world, according to Andrews.

In his spare time, Andrew focuses on his family and also works as a life coach with his group  “24/7 Success Coach”.

“My gift is helping people believe in themselves,” Andrews said. “Most people go through their lives thinking they have no value and just taking up space; I believe everybody has a gift or calling.”

Through 24/7 Success Coach, Andrews shares his story and provides health advice in seminars.

“I am putting life into people with the power of words,” Andrews said.
