A child was airlifted from West Creek Park Tuesday afternoon after experiencing a medical emergency.

Around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, first responders received reports of an injured child at 28310 Kelly Johnson Parkway in Valencia, according to officials.

Crews on scene requested a helicopter to transport the child to a specialty hospital.

The injured patient was transported by ambulance to West Creek Park where they were airlifted by helicopter to the hospital, said Saadullah Sheikh, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The exact age of the child and their condition was not released to the media.
