On Saturday morning two hikers were airlifted from Towsley Canyon trail in Newhall after one suffered a medical emergency. 

At around 10:30 a.m. Saturday, first responders received reports of a medical emergency at Towsley Canyon trails, according to Miguel Ornelas with the Los Angeles County Fire Department. 

“Two people were airlifted from the trail, but only one was taken to the hospital,” said Ornelas. 

The condition of the hiker is unknown as of 1:14 p.m. Saturday.
